coral growth

Thought I'd start a thread to mark some coral growth. I have had my sps start growing MUCH faster under the leds compared to the t5s I had up before. Its not just the sps but my zoas too are loving it. I put the LEDs up late September early October. Here is just one coral. I do have more but I will take to take pictures of them.

Here is one I found of my sunset monti. Just started going crazy with encrusting once it was under LEDs. I still can't figure out how to get proper colors of the corals from an SLR camera. I will have to maybe try later to do it with my sony cybershot.

I challenge you to do this to every coral you have :)

I have a lot of "after" pictures but only a handful of "before" pictures lol. Kind of hard to do this when you only have "after" pictures. I guess I could post up what they look like now and see the growth in a month or 2.

Nice growth. My Sunset exploded when i went from T5 to MH. Unlike some of my other monti's the Sunset loves very intense light.

Yea, I noticed most of my SPS went crazy under the LEDs. I am still trying to play with the custom settings on brightness and hrs/day.

I am dosing just Cal, Mg, Alk, and Vit C. My lights are on from 8am to 11pm but the main photo period where everything is running 100% is from 12-3pm right now. Everything before 12pm is sunrise and everything after 3pm is sunset. I am still playing with the settings. I think I might increase my main photo period a bit.

Not sure what kind of Monti this is. It has greenish tips that you can see a little in this picture.
