aga 150 overflows not flowing evenly

I have an issue with my aga 150 72x18x29 with dual high flow overflows. I built a sump out of a 75 gallon tank and used a center return design. I have a large skimmer section and a large refugium area. I use a mag 12 for return and it is at 4' of head back to the dual returns. The drains are 1" PVC and plumbed seperately to each end of the refugium and are only about a foot long because the sump is directly beind the tank. So here is the problem. The one side flows like mad and the other hardly at all. I have valves on each side to try and even out the flow but the one side just does not flow the same. My tank is about a 1/4" uneven from the concrete that is piched slightly for the drain. Does anybody have any thoughts on this. I could redo the plumbing and combine the drains into one and then split but I would rather not as this is a very clean and simple setup. Thanks in advance for any help.

This is an easy fix! Just raise the stand pipe 1/4" on the one over flow that has a lot of flow. this should even out your drain problem.

1/4" over 6 feet is a 1/24" rise per foot. I really wouldn't worry about it. Now if it was over 1/2" to 1" i would re-level the whole setup.

THe stand is square. Premaid POS. I will be making a new stand and make sure it is built in place to be level with the floor. It just kills me to break it down. This stress is alot less than the MP40's place on the tank and it is 1/2" glass so the joints are pretty thick and robust. I was going to shim the stand at first but it is a an AGA stand and I would have had to create a long wedge out of fear for the stand failing. A new stand is in the works but i am trying to convince Emma (my wife) to let me bring the beast upstairs. We have like 20 closets in this house so I was going to convert one to a built in tank. I usually just have to do stuff and let her get mad but I am trying to turn a new leaf.. Anyway I am off to try and adjust the stand pipe. Thanks again all...

I adjusted the stand pipes but no difference. But I then figured I would try to raise the inner lip of the overflow a 1/4" on the low side. This will take a little longer to fabricate something but I will let you know how it goes. Figures the easy solution will not work for me. I will update this asap when I complete this.

I adjusted one to the min and one to the max and it has evened the flow in the refugium. THANKS ALOT for the tip. I just spent a couple of hrs on refugium maintenance I was so happy.
