ATO question

Whoah, definitely not buying a reefkeeper. Not into dropping that kind of cash. I would rather do this for around $100 if possible.

A used one will work.. But whats another $30 and you get one new :D They sell at $119 which is your basic. But just an idea as this will control many other things.

The JBJ is more what I'm looking for. Not into dosing or anything really. It's onl y a 55 gallon, and FOWLR. Not looking to get crazy cause otherwise I will, lol.

Ya, but for about $200 you can get a reefkeeper with an ATO and have the peice of mind of having a controller corretly monitoring and controling the rest of your tank. Very much worth it IMO (and its expandable).

From Premium Aquatics:
Reef Keeper Lite Basic System Price: $113.99
RKM-SL1 Module Price: $66.99
Digital Aquatics Single Float Switch Kit w/Mount Price: $23.99
AQUA LIFTER VACUUM PUMP AW-20 Price: $11.99

That's exactly what I did.

JBJ is up and running! I got a killer deal online, bought a 20 gallon rubbermaid, and there we go! Thing works like a charm. The aqua-lifter works great, and I have a rio 50 to stir the water in the resevoir to keep it from being stagnant. I have an extra heater, would it be worth my while to put it in there? Or would it melt the plastic? lol

A 20 gallon reservoir ought to last quite a while. Did you set up the jbj to monitor the reservoir as well as the sump or use a high and low sensor in the sump?

I have it monitoring both the sump and the reservoir. It is accurate within a quarter inch which is good enough for me that way. And any info on the heater? The water is quite a bit colder, but it comes so few and far between I wasn't sure if it was worth it.
