InTank Media Basket on JBJ NC28

Has anyone used this (link)?

It seems expensive, but I don't like the way the water can get around the stock basket. It seems like this might help with my suspended particles and probably will give my macro more room to grow.

I also want to make sure it fits with the JBJ Fuge light installed.

i bought one for the 12g nano and its really great. the quality is good and the customer service from stevieT is awesome as well.

Steve is a great guy. The new ones are laser cut and fit extremly well too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from Intank (mediabaskets.com)

I'm friends with Steve. He's a great guy and makes good products. I was his beta tester for his JBJ products. You can't go wrong with him. I have some old school (and prototypes) JBJ 24 nano racks if anyone wants them.

(I have the inTank clown logo on the back of my car too :))

Cool, I just ordered mine, it should be coming any day now! StevieT does an awesome job on the media baskets. I have one in my RSM 130. I skipped the light since its a new tank. I'll be running it with floss and Chem Pure Elite for now.

From Steve's website, he recommends, filter floss>chemical media>macro media. That's how I have it in my 12g nano and its running great.

That makes sense since the last chamber is so much bigger. Do you run anythning under the Chaeto to keep it all in the basket?

All of the media baskets are made to fit an 11oz bag of ChemiPure elite in the bottom chamber. When I had mine in my nanocube it was Floss --> Purigen --> Chempure Elite.

I'm running carbon and phosban in a reactor. Want to have Chaeto in the media basket.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm just here to boost my ego and say hello to my Illinois friends.

Enjoy the basket Herbieace

Well I think your measurements are a little too exact for JBJ's standards StevieT! :sarcastic: It appears that my plexi separating the outside chambers is a little out of square (and the extra silicon doesn't help). It fits really tight as a result, but it keeps me from having to use the clip (which I would drop in the chambers every time I am sure). There is plenty of room for the fuge light magnet, but left to right there is 0 tolerance. I also noticed a slight difference in the plastic lip around the edge of my tank compared to the instruction video, so there may be some design divergence as well. In any case, tight will keep it from knocking around and I can already tell it has increased flow because my outside chambers stay about 40% more full. Nice product.
