75Gal: Mp40 Placement questions...

hmm... figured as such... My cart at ecotech right now consists of the rubber pad and the ceramic bearing, and a maintenence kit...
 
Idk guys... I'm beginning to think the flow wasn't my issue with polyp extension... it's been around 7 hours with the mp40w now in reef crest mode and I'm not seeing any improvements at all. This sucks
 
hmm... really? Well i just removed the MP40w for now as the noise is getting really annoying. I will give it another go once I do the maintenance on the wetside... the squeel is just too much to try and ignore.

I just got really worried cuz a mini colony of a green acro I had seemed to lose some of it's green color...
 
Maybe i just need to let the SPS get used to the extra flow it's getting now... Once i get the wetside maintenance items replaced, i'm going to move my acro a bit farther away from the Mp40 and then setup the blue short pulse mode and try and get a wave going.Not sure I liked the reef crest after watching the tank all day
 
reef crest is wat i run, supposively the waves can stress your seams out, n my tank is a lil off level so i dont want to tempt fate. i can definitely tell you that wave mode is the loudest of all modes as well.....
 
hmm... I really want to just fix this squeel and just let the pump run it's course and let the corals acclimate... Why don't more LFS carry parts for the vortechs... Have you ordered parts thru ecotech directly? How are they on shipping?
 
i havent had luck with gluing my monti cap to my back glass, but i dun know if im doing it right. either way, best glue ive worked with for sure
 
hmm... i just broke off a little flat piece and glued it on my overflow. can't wait for it to grow out :) just used regular ol gel superglue
