I'm ready to invest in some led's to replace my t5s there are so many out there im just not sure which ones to get I have a 40 breeder and am leaning toward the 24" panorama pro leds.I have a mixed reef so i'd just like to know what everyone else is using, how long have you been using them, on sps, lps softies and how do you like them. i'm sure this will help a lot of us that are on the edge.:decision: Thanks

I have a ecoray 60D led light over my 37 gal reef mixed reef tank (24x18x21), with great results. At first I'll admit that I didn't really "love" them at first because it was TOO strong for my tank, and they aren't dimmable so it fried a lot of my corals, but once I found the perfect height to hang them(on the ceiling), my corals seem to love them, so, so do I. I've had the fixture since feb/mar of 2011 and they replaced my 150 watt mh viper I was originally using.

2 120w dimmable ebay units with bridgelux led's. super price and someone else locally has used these for quite awhile now and has great results... Just got my units yesterday and they're hung 13.5" off the water and 45%blue, 40% white right now for acclimation. 8 hrs blue, 6 hrs white and all the corals seem happy still. No RTN on my sps and all my zoas/palys are happy like normal. My carpet anemone and bta's are fine and so are my LPS. But like i said, it's been a day only. haha. The person who introduced me to these has used them longer and is keeping beautiful sps, zoas, lps under them. So i'm confident these units will be fine in the long run.

Standard 4 foot 75gal btw. I'm using 2 units.

2 of the EShine 48x3W Bridgelux models with the Solar Simulator. They work amazingly and were ridiculously cheap. :)

probably you wouldnt do this as yours is a long tank

but i got a kessil A350 tuna led and wow its awesome .. the colors and strength are soo amazing

Because of their practical price point, I may also be going this route with the 55x3w 120w dimmable units. The person Heli is talking about does have an older model of these same lights before they added the dimmer and his tank is one of the nicest eye-candy displays I have seen. It's great being able to dial them back if you have lower light corals, or crank them up for those light hogging acros and milles. The last time I tried one of these was an Apollo non Dimmable fixture, and my sandbed was getting blasted by over 350 par 24" down below water. I definitely don't want to make that mistake again! LOL

Yup, after seeing his results, it was proof enough for me these fixtures work great. Ya, they MIGHT not last as long as far as LED life as something with CREE's... but at half the price, i thought it was worth it. My corals are doing good as far as acclimating too. Everythings open big and happy. No bleaching or RTN on any of my SPS... and don't wanna jinx it, but i think my PE is a TINY bit improved...

Yea, and my sps. Some glow nicely under my actinics right now. Going to swap some leds out for full spectrum once I know they are doing good for my corals.

2 Ecoxotic Panorama Pro 24" fixture with UV Stunner strips in each fixture. Colors pop, most people tell me it looks like I have halides.

I have Maxspect Mazarras. I love them, though they have not been without their problems. I picked up 2 frags of blue millie last weekend that were complelty white. I looked at them yesterday and they are already blue again. I have a mixed reef with more SPS than LPS.

thanks guys for the info im trying to get as much info as i can before i buy because i do not want to make a bad decision when putting out alot of money and not getting the results i want so if anyone has any imput id love to hear it exspecially sps and leds
