Lighting suggestion needed. What will be ideal for LPs, sps, fish. Mixed reef

Beyond the Reef in Schaumburg uses this. Hybrid halides and they have amazing sps growth, and have awesome reviews everywhere they said they will eventually run a chiller.

I only LED I like is Radion xr30w pro they are nice but nothing compared to reefbrite hybrid.

Anyone has good results with Radions xr30w pro.

I don't want to run chillers. Bit don't want to compromise a lot. Please make recommendations.

Good start man. My biggest complaint with MH was heat and without a chiller LED may be your best option. Unless you have great climate control in your home. The Radians have been getting pretty good reviews.

Hey vic,
I like the tank you have. Not the traditional 150 nice and deep. The radions are very nice my other suggestions if your looking for an led would be the ai hydra52. Those lights are great for deeper tanks like yours and you would only need two of them. Ive seen the new hybrid ATI t5/led combo 36"long on a 48" long tank and that had some nice spread and equally very nice color.

Thanks for your suggestions, Will let everyone know what I decide.

ColaAddict rocks has not been glued, I gave them a nice shake and filled the tank with 5 gallon buckes and directly emptied it on every rock none dropped.

i would just be cautius regarding ur rock work especially the ones on the right side.. once u add fish and inverts and what not.. they one of those falling will cause ur glass to break.. IMO

The ATI led/T5 hybrid gets my vote, one of the best fixtures on market, endless combination of color and PAR monster. I run 36" fixture on my 48x32 tank, no chiller needed. Also I would secure the rocks, once you start gluing corals and during regular maintenance they will fall sooner or later.

ATI fixture is nice but T5 has to be changed which drives me off of this. I will secure the rocks.

Why would you think then of the reefbrite hybrid? MH needs to be changed too, I guess, you answered your own question and should go with led only fixture. :)

I was considering Reefbrite, it is not a regular bulb. The TwinArc is two bulbs in one, it turns on Alternately switches arc tubes each time the lamp is fired providing maximum output and colors . Performs better, lasts longer and maintains its color (spectral power distribution) better than conventional metal halide bulbs, and with option of 4 supplemental LED strip lights. On this fixture it will be 8 strips. I have seen it in person amazing.

Ordered two Hydra 52 with director and mounting rails. It looks slick mounted vertical.

Also ordered Jebao twin controller with 2 wp40's. Will see how long they will last and perform.

Tank Cycled all parameters are perfect. Sump in basement, have plenty of room to work. Got 20 Trochus and 30 Hermits Wow! They cleaned the whole tank and rocks look squeaky clean. Will be adding few nassarius snails, shrimps, sand sifting star fish and urchin, that will be all for inverts.
Also added 4 Black Ice Ocellaris Clowns.

Will Add
Flame Angel, Japanese Swallowtail Angel, leopard wrass, McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, Gobies, cardinals, Anthias.

30 gal QT has been setup and started for new arrivals for atleast 30 days. I had Ich outbreak in past, its not fun to see fish die. Ich didn't kill my fishes but quranitning 18 fishes in one tank killed half of them. Moved them to the Fowlr tank in Hypo, rest got killed at the end of 7th week by IDK what all parameters were fine. I almost gave up, only surviver is my fox face, which I gave it to my buddy. So QT is a must, learned it the hard way :)

Not sure how I will QT corals. Don't want flat worms or hitch hikers. "Please Suggest". Can dip in Coral Rx but again it's not full proof.

Was not very enthusiastic to spend $1000 on Vortech. I can buy 5 pairs of Jebo.
However I didn't like the way WP40 looks, So got Jebao RW-20 $100 each includes shipping, you can control all powerheads with one wireless controller in master/ Slave configuration, magnet is strong holds my thick glass tank, performs wayyyy better and silent for the amount of water they move and you can control 8 levels of speed, Boy do they move water, its like jacuzzi inside. Was thinking of installing a close loop, not required anymore. No detritus put it on else mode it pulls detritus from every where and drains, tank is crystal clear. Ordered it from Fish-street got shipped from China in 4 days my Leds took longer to come in from NJ :) They sent me wrong power supply cables but refunded and promptly replied to my emails, I bought computer power cables, will definately buy again.
