Chicago Reefers!!! Come join us for a holiday party without all the awkwardness of a work holiday party... no bosses, no annoying co-workers, just cool reefers who want to unwind and share in good conversation, food and booze.
The evening will include an open buffet of glorious artisan pizza prepared by the finest chefs at a local pub using the freshest and best ingredients and his own blend of spices and herbs for his very popular sauce. By open buffet, I mean boxes and by artisan I mean pepperoni, sausage, veggies and cheese pizzas. But seriously, though...the pizza is said to be the best in the area and is made from scratch with truly home-made sauce from this secret popular pub.
There will be a white elephant frag and drygood swap, ugly holiday sweater contest, raffles, giveaways, puppies, holiday cheer and other exciting goings-on. Stay tuned to this thread as I will be updating as more details are confirmed.
Those participating in the White Elephant Frag Swap should bring a frag to be placed in the holding tank and take a number from the number pile. They will then be able to choose a frag from the holding tank in numeric order based on the number the drew. If you are not pleased with what you pulled, you will have one opportunity to "steal" a frag that someone before you pulled out of the holding tank. Once a frag has been "stolen" 3 times, it is no longer available for play and can not be "stolen" again. Prepare to be real shady and please, kids...no fighting. All participants are allowed one frag for the Frag Swap and submitted corals can not be considered nuisance corals like Xenia, Blue Cloves, Anthelia. If you do not have a frag to bring or would prefer to not frag your current stock, there will be frags available to purchase at Reefwise in the $10-$25 range.
There will also be a White Elephant Dry Good Swap. The same basic formula is followed but your item must be gift wrapped and you are not allowed to open it until the contest is over. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. You can submit any reef related drygood like food, pumps, heaters, etc.
Dre (Lil Bam Bam) Has graciously volunteered to take pictures of the event, so be sure to shave, bathe and wear your best Prada and Gucci!!
This will be a closed-door private party and alcohol must be consumed behind business doors, so please do not let me get drunk and allow me to prance around in the parking lot.
