300 gallon tank

OK guys don't blast me for posting here. I don't have permission to post new threads in the WTB forums. I am looking for a place to buy an acrylic tank at around 300-450 gallons. I have tried searching the threads and got some info. I thought I read awhile back that there was an acrylic company in the Gurnee area ( off delany) somewhere but i cant find the post. I would like to know the best place to get one from someone who has gotten one from anywhere. What is the average price Also did you have it shipped or did you pick it up yourself? Thanks for any help.
 
If the repairs were done right, he's correct in that it would be stronger than just the acrylic. Its like our gas pipes. We use plastic and we fuse all connections. You could pull a piece of pipe with a fuse in the middle and it won't break at the fuse, the pipe itself will pull apart and break before the fuse.

Has to be done right though...

So is this tank worth $5000 ???
 
OK after doing more research I discovered that it is not a good idea to get an acrylic tank because of my dog face puffer. It nips and the glass in my tank now trying to get to the food before I but it in the tank. SO I guess I am back to glass. I have called glasscages.com and they seem rather uninterested in my money. SO does anyone have any other places to order a tank online and give feedback. I also have read that some of you ordered custom through your LFS. Can you provide some feedback on your experience doing this? I am just looking for a nudge in the right direction.
