So in 1-2 months i'll be starting on a new tank.. Its gonna be a 40b with a 29 gallon sump.. Still in the works... but im planning ahead so i have a general idea on what fish/inverts i want to have when the tank is up and running..

Here is what im thinking about putting in or current stock that i will be putting in:

Fish:
Yellow Watchman Goby(currently have)
Yasha Goby (currently have)
Red with white stripes possum wrasse (currently have)
Twin Spot Goby (currently have)
Target Mandarin Dragonet(want) -i knw this fish will be difficult to have but i have seen people successfully train them to eat pe mysis and pellets and pods in smaller tanks so i want to attempt to do that.
Coral Beauty AngelFish or Flame Angel
Pair of clownfish Black and white occelaris and percula clownfish( just in case angelfish doesnt work out)

Inverts:
2 Fire Shrimps (only have 1 right now)
2 Peppermint Shrimps ( only have one right now)
1 Coral Bandit Shrimp (want)
Tiger pistol shrimp(maybe)
Asteria snails
Cerith snails
1 BTA ( if i go with the pair of clowns instead of the angelfish)

Everything is still subject to change.. Let me knw if u guys have any fish or invert ideas or suggestions.. Thanks :)

Sounds like a good list to me. Just be careful if you go with a coral beauty angel, they are the most prone to nipping corals and clams of all the dwarf angels.

thanks bro.. yeah im not sure also regarding the two angels.. still trying to figure out what center piece fish i should get.. u got any suggestions bro?

Be careful with angels they pick at corals. Btw I have a big coral bended shrimp never touch my fish( small gobies)

I just finished reading a thread on coral banded shrimp and pistol shrimp eating fish
caution!

yeah i had mixed reviews on both of them.. but im kind of leaning more on coral banded shrimp now.. at least it doesnt have the pistol claws lol

The flame angel is a great center piece for your 40. The flames are the most commonly kept dwarf angels in reef tanks. They wont nip corals if kept well fed added last and in an established tank. This is all of course subject to the fact that any one specimen of any species can have a rogue personality. You could do clowns and an angel if you want. You'll be surprised with all the swimming room you will have.

Thanks bro, been wanting the flame angel for a long time.. just was too afraid of them nipping corals and stuff.. You dnt thnk having the flame and the clown would be overstocking the tank?

I had aa pair of ocellaris clowns, and my Potter's in my 28 cube. They were best buddies! They'll be fine together, IMO.

No i dont dont forget my 65 is the same footprint as the 40 just taller im planning on two clowns, flame angel, blenny(s), goby(s), maybe a trio of anthias or a wrasse of some sort also thinking about getting a purple pseudochromis again but worried about if this one will be aggressive. My last one wasnt. But yeah so thats what im looking at and like i said theyre the same footprint.

Ur stock list looks good bro.. Man im glad i can put my clowns in the tank.. i thnk i dnt realize how big this tank is.lol

I can't wait until you have it sitting in your home empty and you just look at it and go wow how am I ever going to fill this thing. LOL.

The coral band shrimp can be mean. I picked up a big one from a friend on this site. He is awesome looking but caught him eating my lil yellow watchmen goby. beware!! i also heard they kill other shrimps often

Flame angel is a good addition to any tank. I have one and love the little guy! Really recommend getting one. Never nipped on my corals

I'm sorry about your loss. :( It surprises.me that he's now gotten 2 fish.. but was temporarily in a 6 gallon cube with a small cleaner shrimp, and 3 clowns and didn't even touch 1 of them.

Ya, i suspect that the change of suroundings may have intimidated him and he was just being protective of his newly established territory. Not a big deal though. I just keep an eye on him and monitor how he gets along with the others. So far so good :)
