Well 1$ gal so figured no better time then now.. sold my aqueon for $110 got a good start from that.
$50 for tank
$60 for acrylic(have alittle extra for and additions or modifications)
$12 for eggcrate
$6 for bulkhead
$3 for pvc
$5 for silicone x2
$12 for sock x2

For far I'm pleased .. relatively quiet.. well see how good it does been a day so far.
I have 150w sunpod over the live rock and cheato.. might throw a frag rack down there . Enough room for sure..

Very nice. I have a spare 20L tank that I am thinking of converting to a sump/refugium. I have a sump now but its a little too loud for my liking. What did you use to attach the acrylic to the glass? Or does it just hold the acrylic in place?
 
Looks really good! I would just recommend putting the heater fully submerged in water don't want the glass shattering.

Tom....It was cut perfect.. so it was snug.. just used silicone..the retaining wall I did a few layers..

Cubbies... I dont use heaters .. just threw it in to warm up the water before I turned the system on.. but good advice because if I did use it prob would of left it like that just in a different area lol

what keeps your water temperature stable?
 
Dave .. my tank is never 100% stable ....runs like 73-76 never had a problem with any coral or fish.. my ideal is 76 .. but at night seems to drop alittle..
 
Where did you get the black eggcrate? I could only find white. I guess I could use rustoleum to paint it black but just wondering where you got yours at.
