60g cube build

Sounds like a lot of colors to keep track of. Just do royal blue, cool white, and throw like 4-6 purple/uv with the blue, and 2-4 green in with the whites. You can try 1 or two reds but ive been advised the reds just promote algae growth and to let the purples provide that color wavelength.

Ask SkullV also, he has done extensive led research.
 
You might want 1 red... A buddy's tank had 2 reds in a 58 gal and just ended taking them off. Was to much...

I suggest you should have it dimmable by themselves if you go with 1 or 2 reds :D
 
I ended up addind 2 reds to my tiny cube and never noticed any algea.It did bring out the red colors to look pink,so i took the lenses off.You can substitute 1 red with a CW if you want.
 
i wamt to place order od diy led from rapid led but no purple/uv leds and no greens hm...
tryed reef led lights and also non ??????? any sugestions
 
i just ploaced order on leds on rapidleds but i need 10 XPE blues and 6 purple/uv leds where i can order them help help??????????

lights almost done 49 3W leds 10 cool whites, 8 natural whites, 6 uvs, 1 red, 14 royal blues and 10 blues, dimmable drivers , rapid led controler , spread on 12 x 16 heat stick , 2 cooling fans, im working on splash guard custom made they will be around 7" from water surface , no optics yet any advice???? ????
 
The purple provide same wavelenght as the red, I think. As long as you have the UV purple, your red corals should pop.
