Newest build , biggest sw tank so far
setting up a 75g center overflow 20g built in sump\fuge combo.
So far ive managed to clean out the tank and sump pretty well, any idea on have clean it out better so nothing from the original owners set up is introduced (extremly poor quality looking tanks).
The stand for this tank was not originally designed for a sump so they cut the top peice of acrylic to drop it in then sealed it up so i cant take it out.
Everything is plumbed i had to cut the intake pipe to remove the tank from the stand because he sealed everything, quick fix with pvc.
Still need a skimmer, lighting (soft coral or possibly sps), some powerheads, sand any opinions greatly appreciated. Also opinions on mud and stocking for the fuge.
Current stocking list is in the works, Will update as i work things out.

Ok its been awhile but im getting moving on this, lots of other projects slowing it down.
New equipment list, asm g1x skimmer, 2 koralia 600gph powerheads, mag 7 for the return pump, ATI 48" 4x54W SunPower T5 HO, and check valve(opinion on if these are useful or not?)
Also started rockscaping. Everything is pretty much ready to go but i am painting the room it is in so that has to be done first.

The overflow and water drain into the sump on this tank is quiet loud any ideas on how to silence it, i cut and added a pvc pipe that raises the water level to about 1/2in below the overflow on the inside which helps a little bit(forgot what they call it), no idea about what to do about the water draining into the sump though ideas?

Thanks for looking

oh and the heater that is in the sump is a 300w odyssea digital heater that i would like to trade for smaller one (cant post in the trading section yet). Its just to big for my sump and kind of overkill. It works just fine and was used in my 125g planted tank.

Awesome tank. If you plan to do SPS i would go with more powerful PH's though. I had two 750gph's on my 65 and it defiantly wasn't enough. If you don't mind the cords in your tank, maybe try the wp40 or tunze's. I think youll be happier in the long run.

As far as substrate. I have always used a fine Caribbean sand until i got the larger grain substrate. I LOVE IT! the Mp10's don't blow it around, its much easier to clean. stays a clean white.

Looks great, BTW looking at pictures you have ATI Powermodule not Sunpower , even better !
