A brief introduction

Hey guys, I wanted to introduce myself to the forums before posting so I wouldn't be some random guy. My names David, I'm from the suburbs and I recently got into this hobby. I'm currently using a biocube 14 as my saltwater tank. I got the tank for free from a friend a while back and finally decided to make the jump to saltwater. So far I just have my tank running without any fish in yet. If things work out with my current tank I plan on upgrading to a larger tank that's not a biocube. If anyone has any tips/ suggestions on modding the biocube, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the reef David. There is so much info out there on mods for the biocube you could go nuts. I'd love to see them in one place myself. You should start a thread listing exactly what you want to do and get the DIY guys working on it. We all love a good upgrade thread.

Welcome! What suburbs are you from? Did we get another south-sider? You will find this site most helpful. Ask any questions you might have.

:welcome:
Interested in where your from since you have 'cook county' listed.

Definitely ask any/all questions you have - plenty of information/people willing to help out :)

I'm from the northwest burbs close to O'hare. This site has helped me out a great deal already, just reading old threads has given me a lot of tips on running a saltwater tank.

Dude seriously? Paranoid much? The name of a town/city isn't going to get you shanked in a dark alleyway taking out the trash before leaving for work...

Welcome to the site David... Ask any question you want even if it's a Dumb question we all were Noobs once so hack away...
