Adding sand

Hello everyone.. I have a bare bottom tank thats been established for a couple months now.. Im considering adding sand in my tank.. Whats the best way to do it and is it a good idea

Rinse the sand extensively ( new sand)

Fill a cup wit with sand

Go all the way to the bottom

Dump it in there slowly


That's how I did it and it's a little murky but would eventually clear up and be fine .. Add filter floss and take it off later

+1 I in a day or so it will be clear like before.

Rinse the sand very well, get a 2" PVC tube long enough to reach bottom of your tank. Pour clean sand through the tube slowly, this way you will have very little clouding if at all.
