I’ve been using them for about 2 years. I didn’t have any luck with a cheato reactor. I knew I could grow turf algae. It takes a few weeks for algae to grow. Seems to help keep ph and O2 higher by running reverse daylight. Helps reduce nitrate and phosphate. Produces some pods.
lt does suck up some potassium.
Pretty easy to maintain. I’d probably use one again if I was to do it over.
