Anemone removal help

I want to get an anemone off of my vida rock in my tank without removing the rock from the water. It is on the very top of the vida rock. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
 
Try putting an Ice cube in a baggy and then rub it on its foot and hopefully he will start moving and you can gently get under his foot with a card or something.
 
Take to dull end of tweezers or spoon. Push gentlely around foot until an area of the foot starts to peel from rock. Then work on that area. Nem will come right off
 
Foot is completely visible. So push down on the top of the foot? Or push at the edge of the foot as if to get between the foot and the vida rock? Can I put a spoon or tweezers in the tank?

I can't put a powerhead on them b/c I want the second one to stay where it is.
 
Try t o use something soft bud like a cotton swab. Don't use a spoon as you can cut or injure the foot. That is what I have done with the ones you have purchased from me.

Slightly rub the end of the foot. Work the edges with something dull. Do not worry a spoon won't damage the Nem. I remove close to 20-30 Nems a week with tweezers or a spoon. In tank is fine. I prefer to remove rock but if you can't that's a non issue

Just make sure to take your time. If you rush the Nem will most likely get damaged

You can also threaten it with a knife and it will let go right away.

But seriously, the powerhead technique worked for me. The foot was still hanging on a little bit, I just reached in and massaged the foot with my finger and it let go.
 
i learned quickly .. if the foot is visible all around then its a piece of cake. .

i used my finger nail all the time and slowly remove it like you are peeling off a chewing gum off your shirt ;)
