Any suggestions on a 10g frag tank

Im converting my 10 fw tank to a frag tank.. Any suggestions for good lightin thats less than 150?
 
Maybe like 4 t5. I wouldnt go with more lighting, might heat the water too much in a tank that small. LED is a choice, but not in that price point.

LOL!!! You can try 2 or 3 if needed.. But one hanged high might work. But I have seen these being used with small tanks.. Again not sure whats my problem today with LEDS :D
 
Thanks for the link BamBam. One of the 36w bulbs should definitely cover a 10 gallon. One of my frag tanks is a 20 long and I run two of these over it (approx. 18" off the bottom of the tank) and it covers everything very well. If you have any specific questions, let me know!
 
Out of interest, can you post a full tank shot of that 20g?

Was thnking the same but also worried bout the heating up.. I wish i still had my par 38 bulb lol
 
I use a PC 2X65 watt fixture on my 10g. PC lighting seems so out of a favor now; someone must have one laying around.

Here ya go. The tank is kind of sparse right now, since it's my overstock tank, but you should be able to see the coverage pretty good. These are 2 of the 36w 14k model. They are made up of 6 blue 455nm, 3 cool white, and 3 warm white, with 90 degree optics.

How long do u keep those lights on for and how is it growin wise bro? Nice frag tank by the way :)

Thanks. Lights are on for about 7 hours a day. I get good growth, zoas multiply pretty well. I have had to move some acans to the outsides of the tank cause it actually seemed a bit bright for them and they looked a bit unhappy. Once I moved them to the outsides of the tank they were pretty happy. Only sps I have had under them were some different montiporas, stylophoras, and seriatopora, but all of them were really happy. I had some red monti caps that were growing like crazy under them.
