Curious if anyone near me (Yorkville) has a PAR meter.... I have beer!

I can't get a handle on my Radion G3... I can't tell if I am at too much light or too little light...

If anyone can let me know I would seriously appreciate it!

I am home every evening after 4:30 PM

Thank you,
-Luke

If no one local steps forward, I'm working on setting up a club par meter loan program. Won't likely get the details finalized for another week or two. I've got the meter, just need to finalize the logistics.

That'd be awesome...

I would pay the rental fee that I figure you would implement... They are around $400 new... I wouldn't mind having one, but for the few times I would use it that is not worth it to me.

If no one chimes in I will message you.

Thanks!!!

np guys. I'll get a thread posted on the topic when I get it setup. Rental fee is very low for everyone and free for premium members. There will be a deposit of varying amounts depending on set criteria. Look for the thread in the next couple weeks if not sooner.

Really cool Josh. Thanks for setting this up. This will give the club a good idea of how different light setups perform.

You can just get an Apogee sensor for like 150 bucks or so and connect it to a multimeter. There is a conversion somewhere on internet, if I remember correctly 5x the reading, you will get PAR value. It cost less then $200, even less if you have multimeter already. Trust me, you will use it more then couple times a year.

BTW, Josh, that's a great idea with renting PAR meter to members !!!

That is exactly what i do my my own par meter. Just multiply the mV reading by 5 to get par.

We'll start with one and go from there. See what happens.
