Aptasia question

This is a noob question but here goes. I have an Acan frag that was doing very well in the sand . I decided to put it on a nice rock ledge near the bottom. I noticed after a day that the edges were getting gray and it was significantly smaller . I decided to move it back to where it was doing well and when i lifted it up , right behind him was an aptasia poking out of the rock. Could my acan have been stung and if so is there hope for him. He has his color back but is still not "puffing up " three days later?
Water params are good and all other corals could not be happier as are the fish. Did a partial water change and DKH 8 Calc 460 salinity 1.025 at 78 no phosphates or nitrates .....

It is very possible that it could've gotten stung but you don't see it often. Give the Acan a dip and it should be ok. Do you have any other acans in the tank and if so how are they doing?

Aptasia will def Stress the coral... Get a peppermint shrimp to eat it or get joes juice or aptasia x ( I've used aptasia x with good results ) the coral will most likely b fine just get rid of the aprasia

Thanks guys ... I am going to try the coral dip. He is the only Acan in my tank right now but everyone else is fine. I am getting rid of the aptasia today. Is the dip just a regular coral dip? I dont know that I have ever seen this at an lfs?

Coral RX or such will work. Dave at Aqua Pros has it and he is open today. I believe he's not too far from EGV.
