Aquarium Adventure - Bolingbrook - 50% off

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Aquarium Adventure in Bolingbrook currently has a 50% off sale on all their fish and corals. The sale lasts until the 23rd.

Although when I went in today, it seemed they have an outbreak of GHA and bubble algae in some of their tanks, and had some very cloudy tanks in general.

I did pick up a nice Maxima clam for $65 though, so it isn't terrible. And they had a purple tang for like $115 I think. If you know the prices, you can get some decent fish.

the coupon is more for the 20% off...it works on dry goods including foods

and it seems like this sale is at Hoffman Estate's location as well

its not a hair algea outbreak, they have persistant algea problem, as well as fish parasites(flukes) in most of their system, I would make sure you FW dip your clam because it probably has pinched mantel, all the clams there when i was there last had it, and if that parasite is in the system it doesnt go away.

i have to start stocking my nursery tank with CUC so I'll at least pick up some snails and crabs..thanks for this reminder Karl.

They tend to go through stages of algae, there's a lot of times when they don't have any issues. But when they do get an issue, it gets pretty bad. And yes I did a freshwater dip for the clam.

Just an FYI.
The hoffman estates location actually flushed their systems recently. They reset the coral tank and from what I saw, they were in the process of resetting the fish tanks.

Yeah they had a good variety good selection. Fish looked good. They even had 2 Banded Cat Shark eggs. I was really tempted but bottom of tank is too course.
