I received a frag of unknown bright orange zoas from a friend about 2 months ago. When I received it, it had one single strand of hair algae, and I decided to qt it for the time being. After about a month of qt, I spoke with Mario at aquatica, and he asked me if I'd like to bring the frag in, to see if his hermits would take care of the algae.
I agreed, and brought the frag in on Wednesday. I came back in today, and Mario told me that the hermits ate not only the algae, but the zoa itself. Now, I'm a regular customer there, and they know me and my 2 year old very well, however what happened next shocked me. Mario apologized for the frag and gave me a new zoa frag that was very similar.
Not only did he not have to take the frag with the algae to clean, free of charge, but was clearly not obligated to reimburse me for something that was not his doing.
This is why, with my wife and I buying a new house next month, we will continue to travel to aquatica for all of our needs. Mario and his staff went above and beyond. I just want to let fellow reefers know how well they treat their customers.
