have no idea why but it suddenly started bubbling too much and as a result the small cup that holds the skimmate is being filled with water ..

turning the flow knob is not affecting the bubble raise but again i can see the flow of water is decreasing increasing ..

everything looks fine .. its just i am not able to tune it ..

any one had experienced this before ??

is this a new skimmer u just put in? If so, it just needs to break in. My buddys took like 2 weeks to break in properly. that skimmer is just a pain to tune

Have you used any water conditioner or liquid purifier or reef epoxy? All of these can cause extreme bubbles in a skimmer. Other than that, not familiar with this specific skimmer, but the issues you're describing sound like there's something else in the water.

no this is not a new skimmer .. its successfully skimming for the last couple of months ..

and yes i did use some reef epoxy to stick some corals .. may be thats why...thanks yogo kinda explains

Reef epoxy on the back says its recommended to turn the skimmer off for a bit after using a bunch. As it cures, it releases particulates into the water that are completely inert and not harmful, but make the skimmer go crazy.

well my old skimmer when it was breaking in, i had the water level way too high and the bubbles were just coming out of the skimmer cup

Right, but he said the bubbles weren't being affected even though the water level was changing, so this couldn't be the case.

:D yea i even moved the skimmer up and down but couldnt calm i down so i turned it off ..

so if i have the same thing today also .. should i just leave the skimmer on and empty cup often and it should be fine by itself ??

No, you're just pulling out regular water if you do that. It should die down after about 10 hours depending on how much you've used, and then it'll just stop.

oh okie so i shoould have just let it overflow and then after a while bubbles will be back to normal ?
