My wife & I recently visited Australia & New Zealand. I finally had a chance to upload some new photos so I figured I would share. Our schedule was jammed full of activity but the hilights for me were Sydney's Sea Life Aquarium, a heli-glacier hike, Milford Sound at Fiordland National Park, Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park, volcano hike, and blackwater tubing through glowworm caves.

Great shots! I'm jealous!! New Zealand is where I am planning on moving one day. How was the atmosphere of the people and towns in NZ?

I consider myself well traveled and I have never met a happier or friendlier group of people. It was contagious. As you can imagine the country is extremely outdoors oriented from hiking, climbing, canoeing, canyoning, biking, fishing, ect. The towns we visited were small and had a ski town feeling; similar to something you would find in the american west. The few cities we visited were diverse and a mix of influences from south east asia, pacific island culture, and British colonial but we did not spend too much time hanging out in them.

A really beautiful country.

Thank you for the compliments.
I used a Nikon D90 camera, tripod, and a mix of a 16mm f3.5, 50mm f1.8, and 105mm f2.8 lenses, 3 stop GND and a CPL filters. If there was a particular image you wanted more detailed information about let me know and I will try to find out the exif data.

On a side note... it is NOT fun carrying all that gear/weight on 8 hour hikes. haha

That's what everyone tells me. I'm more of an outdoors type so I think it would be the perfect match!

Thank you for the compliments.

No doubt, I used to carry all of my equipment when I went out shooting, but now I usually scout what I'm going to shoot first and bring only the equipment I need. But on a trip, you kind of don't have a choice lol!
