Back Surgery

My job finally authorized my second, and hopefully last, back surgery...and it's scheduled for May 21st. What sucks about the situation is that he wants me bed bound for 2-4 weeks, now who here thinks they could go that long without playing in their tank or even water changes. My gf said she'll take care of it for me, but it's not the same. Wish me luck, not so much for the surgery, but that I can stay obedient to the drs orders.* :)

Let me know if u need anything. I'm right down the street. I have a frag for u Btw.

Can we design u a wheelchair ramp for your tank? Lol.

Thanks everyone for the support...thanks Matt, I'll let you know if I need my water changed. . Hey what if I had a tank made in the shape of a ramp, like the skateboard ramp on "Tanked"?

lol.. That was a pretty cool tank. Your gonna heal up in notime. i think you might recover faster than my zoas. Suffering from the pox right now.

We don't know each other but I wish you the best, your lucky to have a friends to help with your tank , maybe you can move your bed in front of your tank so you can at least supervise.

Good luck! I know lots of folks who have bounced back quickly but that was when they followed their Dr's orders & rested!

I have a friend who went for back surgury on a herniated disc. Afterward, since his back started to feel better, he was doing everything like normal before the time the doctor told him to wait (part of it wasnt his fault becuase his managers at work were making him do everything when they should have told him to take it easy). Needless to say he reinjured his back a month after 1st surgury worse than before. He had a 2nd surgury (little success) and is scheduled for a 3rd.

Stay away from the tank! :D
and good luck!

I don't think I would have the willpower to not work on my tank though. Detritus needs to be siphoned! Fish/corals need to eat!
I would definity find someone who can waterchange for you.
