Best glue for mounting Corals to rock in the tank

Best glue for mounting Corals to rock in the tank ??? picked up some Lock-tite liquid this morn from Depot to try this afternoon, every Tuesday I come home from a Loooong weekend the tank is bull dozed by the Urchins & Snails

I use the Loc-tite super glue gel and epoxy and it seems to work great. If I use a lot of it the skimmer goes a little nuts for a few hours.

I have an urchin too, so I know how you feel. If he keeps it up he's going to be a sump urchin.

fixed it for ya :-)

Loctite works best... But I've used IC Gel and I am using Ecotech Coral Glue and I really like it alot... but either way turbo and urchins will bull dose everything in there way reguardless or how stron the hold is... But they do help produce frags in SPS... lol

LOL...I would never hear the end of it....the urchin is one of my wife & sons favorite critters.

I agree with Tank2379 about them being fragging assistants....mine took it upon himself to break up my pink birdsnest into about 20 pieces.

I use the superglue gel from the dollar store. the best way that has worked for me is to mix epoxy, superglue coral to epoxy and then superglue epoxy to rock. that creats a sandwhich effect of glue/epoxy/glue which is stronger and epoxy get's molded to rock which looks better.

+1

BRS has a super thick coral glue. its a little expensive at $5 for a small bottle, but the stuff is awesome. I used it for my whole bio-cube and really haven't had a problem.
I got rid of my turbo snails for the same reason of destruction.

Locktite gel is the best dollar store is the cheapest I have had more corals pissed with dollarstore gel but can't beat the price.

YEP the Urchin is my wifes replacement for her purple Lobster that somehow turned up missing after eating about 2 dozen peppermint shrimp and munchin on the brittles & Serpents

We've tried nearly everything, and IC GEL is still the best(IMO), quick curing underwater, great for mounting frags to back wall or vertical surfaces

+1 on IC gel . Works good i do a mix putty glue in putty and on the bottom so frag is secure as well as the putty to the rock

I tried the BRS stuff and still have several tubes left, but I am not a fan of it under the water. Out of the water I think the stuff works great and you can't beat the price, but for underwater my favorite has been Boston Aqua Farms (more expensive, but when you compare the size of the tube to the stuff you buy at homedepot or the dollor store, it is actually a good value. I have a Sea Urchin and only on a rare occasion will it rip a frag off the rock.
