Best sps food ?

Right now I use rods and azox but I feel the food particles are too big for sps to grab.

Is there a particular sps good I can try ?? Something that's like completely liquid and is good ??

Also how often should I be feeding sps ??

You saw the polyp extension and encrusting in my tank. That is feeding nothing but pellets for fish and acro power every other day.

My pe is good too on some and ok on some corals

But I just thought feeding would make any coral grow better. Especially with my nitrates around 0.25 I thought they might use some additional food :)

That is the purpose of the Amino Acid supplement. It was originally developed for ULNS systems using the zeovit method. Basically employed carbon dosing and zeolite to strip the water down to no nutrients, and then feed the coral with amino acid rather than add fish/coral food to the system.

Tin....I feed Azox once or twice a week (when I remember. ..lol) but I've heard a lot of happy people are using AcroPower too.....

I'm also on the Acropower train. I've nearly put 1000 ml into my tank over the last few months (two capfuls a day). I also feed Rod's coral food using my Julian's Thing about once a week. I also feed my large fish fairly heavily. I run biopellets so I make sure to keep the tank fed.

Fish poop for me too :) so I feed fish heavily once a day.
I also use amino acids every day and reef chilli once a week.

I'm running pretty similiar to SawDonkey, I run pellets on my tank and do a capful of acropower once a day, and feed my fish Rod's Original every day. Other then that i don't feed anything else

Best food is "Fish poop" :glee:
That did it for my reef. After graduating from the noob status, I stopped feeding the tank every other bottle of stuff I was told it would do miracles.
Good quality water, good lighting and good food for the fishes will do wonders for the reef.

I would say my SPS PE was greater only when feeding Reef Chili at night only. Any other time my PE was good!! Just my experience and .02cents

I've been asking myself and others this question for weeks now. Acropower sounds legit, I saw another reefers tank that had good growth from it.

I asked an employee at New Fish on Milwaukee what they feed the corals in the main DT in the back. He said rods coral blend mixed with seachem reef plus, and phyto whenever they have it freshly made by one of their employees who cultures and sells it, apparently.

So, I am currently going to try Rods Coral blend, its supposed to contain smaller sized items than the original and does Not contain the large fish only food that SPS won't take and the i.e. broccoli/carrots, which is not natural coral food.

I am also going to buy the Rods fish Only food. This way by having the coral only blend and the fish only blend I figure I can control who is getting fed, fish or coral, otherwise I feel like I'm just making a mess since the fish can't eat the tiny coral food and the coral can't eat the large fish food. I'd rather have it already separated for me.

Lots of people use things like oyster feast, Roti feast, reef chili according to my google searches. Its all just opinions, including my own.

Rod's food is good for sps and fish, it has all the small size foods from golden pearls. Sps can live on fish poop alone but do better with good food.
Sps get a lot of their food from DOM, disolved organic material.
