Anyone using Bio- Balls it in their Tanks?

Bio balls Frankie? Are we going back to the future on this? I do but its inside my ETSS skimmer works fantastic breaking bubbles into a fine one.

Some of the most experienced reefers use it on their systems just wondering if anyone really thinks they work well with populating good bacteria?

Using bio-balls to create bacteria & maybe NO3 to feed bio pellets

They are too effective housing tons of bacteria and then what follows, nitrate. if u keeping reef the average nitrate u wanna shoot for is below 10 considering all levels are within acceptable range other wise u still end up w/ pesky algae.

It only hurts when they don't bust properly with bacteria...
