Blue ribbon eel

Any reefers on the site have a BLUE RIBBON EEL for any length of time ?? my wife fell in luv with a BLUE RIBBON EEL and I told her I would pick it up to mellow her out since she's pizzed I SOLD the 2 sharks and her snowflake .I'm reading online that they only make it about 7 mos and they are really hard to get them to eat , anybody ? I have him tagged as SOLD but if need be I can buy her another Emperor or a Queen Angel instead
 
its helpful to have other ribbons with them to encourage eating. I have two whites and once one ate the other was all like "mmmhhm what is this decadent thing called a fish head, I love it!"
 
Yea best to c it eat first for some reason the blues r pia. The whites eat the best the blacks aint to bad but the blues just dont seem to eat in captivity. I have heard of people keeping em for yrs when they do eat so its not impossible. Oh and ive heard from sisco now dont quote me just saying what he told me a while back . That the black ones can turn into blue ones so im guessing if that is true which i dont know if it is that the sex if the eel determines black or blue. But then again he could of been blowing smoke up my butt lol maybe somebody knows if its true

the blacks are just juvi Blues , and i thought they mentioned takes them a few weeks to get them to really eat good kinda like the Lookdowns 4 weeks and they had them eating like Piggies :-)

My biggest issue was keeping that beautiful blue color they have. Mine and a friend's of mine turned from blue to black. I've kept mine for over a year before he jumped out when i forgot to cover my tank. It took me hours of trying different things before he started eating. Also they are the best escape artists you can find in the ocean.

Thank for the input , I took a pass on the BR EEL and did a couple Emperor & Blue Ring Angels instead ,and wifey loves them & can't wait for her Majestic and Idol Angels this week
