Cad Lights 50gal reef

Hi guys,

Long story short I had to downsize from a 100gal reef to 50gal cube reef. My twin boys were born almost 20 months ago, they will help me with aquatic/marine/saltwater empire in the future :)
Here is my little cube tank, 50 gal, so far so good, full of corals, need more space :)
Shortly about whole set up:
Tank-50 gal (24*24*20h)
Sump-18 gal
Light
-Kessil 360WE
Main pump: stock one, whatever it is its enough for what I need it for
Powerheads: 2xTunze 6015
Skimmer: Cadlight PLS-100
Salt: mix of Kent+IO+Reef Crystals

I will post more pics over time, for now just a few, but the newest ones, do not need to show what was there two years ago:
Beginnings...

Started with this (thank you Reefwise):

Through this...

To this...

My pink-violet Blasto (thank you Aquapros), started with 4 heads, one morning woke up to see only 1 left, it got back, now around 6 or 7 heads, great looking coral:

My sand sifting goby that unfortunately is not longer in my tank, just disappeared, already talked to Dave about getting new one at Aquapros. For me a must in every reef tank that has a sand.

Love echinatas, love chalices, there is more I will show next time:

Yeah I do. I feel like you can have a very good led light for slightly less than some other well know brands, Maxspect Razor not far away if at all if you count gooseneck and 90deg adapter.
The thing is I need space when I work on and in my tank and was worried that I may knock something off.
Overall cannot complain.
For anybody who reads this though, be careful its a strong light. It was the first time I used led on my reef tank. I burned few of my lps and zoas, including christmas favia that was one of my first coral ever, 7 years and done :( Some wellso, some acans, just start on much lower intensity. I have been using for the last year around 40% of power/intensity.

Very nice pics. As far as the sand sifting goby, do you find it moving sand on your corals, etc.?

That's the third diamond goby I own since I have started that hobby many years ago. They are definitely jumpers.
This one is the worst out of all three when we speak about moving sand around. Not bad but still he has his cave near those red KO Palys I have on the second from bottom picture. So they are covered with sand, I have to "help them" once or twice a day. I will need to move some of that sand to the front of the tank, farther from his cave. Other than that no problems, I do not have many corals on the sand though.
The previous 2 gobies were much better in that regard, water was "dusty" for a week or two and then it stopped, basically they were moving sand around but were not getting to higher parts of my tanks.
This one does not do it either, its just that its convenient for him to move that sand close and around his spot, which unfortunately has some zoas and palys around.
I cannot imagine any of my tanks with sand sifting goby.

Hey thanks. Still a little uneasy with the sand tossing, but i guess my pumps do some of this also.

Very nice

What chalice is this ?

Very nice pics. You should join our photography forum. I am sold on the Kessil.

May I ask what camera and settings you are using? Any post-processing via software? Thanks.

Hi, sorry guys for such a late response. tinman I have no idea, I bought at Aquapros long time ago, slow grower, I do not feed my corals though. I call it red and blue chalice :)
Paulip I am not great at taking pictures, bought NIkon D5200 to take pics of my kids, well it takes too long to retrieve that camera when kids do something funny (phone is a king then). I bought also Nikkor 18-105 lens if I remember correctly. I usually take the same picture with 2-3 different ISO setting and choose which one I like the most. Usually really dark, but thats how it looks in my tank, at least I try to show it the same way. No software whatsoever, just choosing the best looking one according to me of course.
And finally taking picture in cube tank is not easy, sometimes no matter from which side I take picture it looks like crap.
Maybe one day I will practice more and learn how to properly use that camera, there are some books and tips online, some of them do not apply to reef tanks though :)

Wow, you have some great looking corals in there. I love that purple chalice in the last pic, with the HYPER GREEN edge. That's a great pattern with the eyes sharing that same green. If there was too much of that green it would be overwhelming, but as an accent that green is hot.

If that is not called a Joker chalice someone is doing their job wrong.
