my live rock is leaching calcium. i know everyone would say no way but it is diy and is maid with oyster shell. my alk and ph is good. is it possible to have to much calcium. i know it can cause build up, but im only worried about it hurting coral and fish. thanks
thats a good question. i soked it for about 3 months befor putting it in my tank to make sure it was safe. my calcium is at about 1400ppm my ph is 8.2 and alk is 125. you could use regular lr and you only a few smaller pieces to get the amount of calcium you want i would think.
