I am new to saltwater and this is my husbands tank what are all these white specs on glass they look like very tiny little dots with legs? Like a star fish and floating in water also seen this string thingy coming off this coral thing that was mixed in with live rock we got can someone tell me what these are and are they good or bad and how to fix or let it go

no need to worry..the white things on glass sound like pods...wich are good...slime is usually nothing ot worry about...how long has tank been up?
 
It's a 29 gal biocube we are both brand new to saltwater and need advice and as much info as we can get

Do you know what that green string thing sticking out is?
is wasn't there 2 days ago also what type of coral that thing is?

I get those white things in my fuge. They r not pods but never did no harm in my tank once u have fish in there u wont see them the fish will eat em. Somebidy told us what they were on here before. Some kinda of larva stage for a worm i believe . And yes gree string looks like cheato

Is it a trumpet coral maybe? If so, that could even be a tentacle you're looking at. Just an idea, it could very well be cheato as mentioned.

Tiny dots that look like starfish are probably a form of hydroids. They are not the bad invasive kind and are a normal part of "new tank syndrome". Green string looks like chaeto but could also be a form of invasive algae, it is hard to tell from the photo if its stringy or more thick and rigid. Either way, you can pull it out and not worry about it. Good luck!
