Chalices growing on to sand bed

I have 2 chalices that are on a little rock when I got them and I placed them on the sand bed... Now they are extending and spreading onto the sandbed

What should I do in such cases? I haven't moved them for the fear of disturbing, hurting them.

Do chalices have strong Skelton ? Can I move them around and they would retain the shape and size ??

i kinda like the idea of it extending on to the sand bed as i have no space anywhere on the rocks

but the question is lets say i lift them off the sand bed .. do they still have that shape and size ? they dont seem that strong, looks like a sensitive layer to me, i know they do have a skeleton but at the same time they can also retract to nothingness if they dont like the conditions

They'll maintain their shape if you lift them. Some can be delicate. If you bang one against a rock or something you might brake it. Most of the time you'll be ok though. If you do move it and break it don't freak out though you just made a frag. Chalices will recuperate nicely usually.

Thanks cubbies

I'd let it grow for a while and then move it on to the Rock

Thanks everyone for clarifying out
