clam problem

I have a clam that is doing just fine except for the fact that there are these small tube worms growing on the outside of the clam that touch the mantle of the clam and cause it to close up on that side. Here is a pic. Does anyone have any suggestions. im debating about taking the clam out and scrubbing the shell clean but i dont want to cause more damage cuz i already chipped the edge that is freshly growing by trying to clean it.

on the picture u can see on the left side that the mantle is not opened up

Take out and scrub. A chip or two is fine, won't hurt the clam. I take fragging shears to clams to get something off their shell!

if its a vermitild snail a drop of super glue gel will take them out

Or break him off. It's not like there's rock for him to hide in

not its not a vermitild snail, looks like clear algae fibers with a tube worm feeding end but really small
