clams on the run

Did it leave the foot behind or going along with it ?

if it left the foot behind..then that might mean it is looking for something to anchor to

as always im a noob too so i might be wrong :D

yes I believe it is a Crocea, I was told the same thing about making sure the foot has something to attach too, I only have about a 1" deep sand bed, so I moved the sand and put it on the bar bottom.

I havnt seen a foot anywhere so im assuming it went along for the ride.

I didnt want to move it risk hurting it but I think Its about the time to try. What do you think?

Well, if its not attached to anything its not gonna get hurt ..

but if you place it on rock work ..make sure it wont tumble down

Simple and cheap fix. Find a nice rock that's flat and set it on it. Then wait......or you can use two part marine epoxy and make a flat disk with a slight groove in it to set the clam on.

My clam from RW moves too. Ironically, it moves towards the front of my tank and likes to but itself up agains the glass. I have to keep moving him back as I dont want it to attach to the glass. I have tried putting him up high on a flat rock, but he seems to move to much to actually attach. Now every time he moves, I place him back on some rocks in the sand bed, waiting for an attachment. it's been 2 months and he's a nomadic clam. It's a clam that goes for walks.

He likes long walks on the beach, and candle lit dinners. Have you asked him on a date yet? Perhaps that's all he's waiting for?

Bury a flat rock in the sand, let the clam attach to it, then move the clamand rock to a different place that you THINK it might like. It might stay it might not.
