Cleaning glass

is there anything other than working the algae magnet to death that will just clean the glass?

What do you use?

razor blade works like a charm, just keep it flat and clean (and no sand on it) On the curved glass I have to hold it sideways which is a pain. Kent makes a pretty good metal scraper balde as well.

my magnet scratches my glass, i use a razor once a month or so to get all the calcified stuff off. if u got an acrylic tank idk.

No scratches from this thing. It's not sharp like a razor. It works on coraline like a hot knife through butter though.

All the scratches in my tank are from aquascaping and the marco rocks. UGH!!

Dobie pad and Lil Chizler. I haven't found anything better. It works on acrylic too.

I use the Hammerhead mag cleaner I got from BRS. Very powerful magnet and cleans algae off glass really good, just gotta be careful you don't get sand in there or you'll scratch the glass. Even if I don't see alot of algae, I just make it a habit of using the powerful magnet on my glass, just so coraline doesn't get a good hold of the glass, coz they are a pain in the but to clean off once they start growing on the glass.
