crap in the water . need more surface agitation so it with go in the overflow or filter . point a powerhead up a lil bit.

I agree with them...it's the proteins in the water, which need skimming.

If you dont have an overflow it is tough to keep surface clean. Having an overflow skims the surface of water and puls that top layer of organics into your sump for the skimmer to pull out
