Please can someone help me out. I've had a hammer coral for about a month, it was doing great along with my other corals are growing and looking great. But my Hammere coral about two weeks ago has developed this bubble on it. Like I said it's been like that for two weeks. I've read other forums and have found both answer to which makes me more confused and concerned. I've read that the bubble means it's splitting into a new head which made me excited and as I kept doing more research found other forums saying that it could be from clown fish trying to host it but I never see my clown fish go by it. Or that it could be some sort of parasite and could be dying. I do biweekly water changes and use natural sea water when I do water changes. Use rodi water, skimmer reef octopus sss 1k Jns bio pellet reactor. Have aqua proflex 3 sump and have my tank for about 5 months now.. I use an aqua illumination sol blue led lights. Ill and see if I can post a pic later of my hammer coral with the bubble on it..

Parms are
Amonia 0
Ph 8.2 and 8.4
Alk 11
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5
Phosphate 1
Calcium 420 and 460
If anyone could please help me out any advice would be greatly appreciated.. thanks for reading

Hi Miguel. The pic you uploaded is a little too small to make out any details. If you could post a larger one so we can see the "bubble" more clearly.

hope this helps a little better, thank you everyone for reading, just did a water change so i hope that helps the bubble go away...

It something natural they do. I believe they do it to split. Weird, I know. I read it somewhere because I once had it as well and was worried and did some research. Can't seem to find it anymore. It has happened to me a couple times and they have been perfectly fine. I wouldn't worry too much.

That's an awesome bubble. I've read several threads similar with euphyllia and bubble corals producing larger bubbles. I agree, this is pretty normal and frequent.

Thanks again everyone for reading and replying. I am a little at ease now. Just can't wait for that bubble to go away...
