So i just recently won a 29g biocube, been thinking for the past 3 days on what I want to do with it. I have an idea, but would really appreciate some feedback and what I would have to get for this to become a reality. I know that the stock lights on the biocube are not that powerful, and would be difficult if not impossible to grow SPS under those lights. My idea is to turn this cube into a frag tank. What would be needed? Trying to find some idea's online, but haven't had a whole ton of luck. Thank you!

If money wise would be an issue i would just leave the lights as is until u come up with enough moola for the build.. I think ur other tank is also in the beginning stages correct? If so just keep lps and softies and zoas in this tank as stuff out grows ur other tank.. I dnt think ur gonna venture into the sps this early on ur tank are u

Not sure my current lights on my 65 are even strong enough for SpS, thats why i kind of wanted to do the Biocube for that, I still haven't even opened up the box yet, might end up just selling it or trading it for something for my 65. So many choices lol

Biocube can prove for some amazing displays. If you don't want to do a retro fit, remove the top and get a fixture. I had a cc-120 over mine and i grew whatever at will. I personally love zoas so it was heavy with them, but I had a ton of sps as well
