Crab Molt, reef safe

found this molt in my tank today, never seen this sucker. reef safe?

Nope...not reef safe. That my friend is a xanthide crab. Try to find it once the lights have been off.
 
Look after lights out with a flashlight ... The best way I've learned to catch them is to find their "home" ... All the ones I had always went back to the same spot ,.... I just removed the rock and cracked it open ... but I was lucky enough that the rocks they were in I could easily remove ... I still have one that stays in a rock at the bottom of the pile so I haven't gotten him yet ...good luck !!
 
i had some green bay packer zoas hedged down to 2 polyps, and had a $30 frag from jorge disappear, never knew why.....gotta find this a-hole.
 
So i was missing a ric last night and got fed up with this @sshole, used a glass and threw some pellets in, turn off moon lights and went to bed, woke up with a cup full
