cuc and cycling

Do you wait for complete cycle before ordering cuc or can the go in on Nitrite spike? Noticed diatom starting to form in certain areas.

I would wait til the tank fully cycled. The diatoms will burm themselves out or be eaten by your cuc later. No need to rush IMO.

I'm by no means experienced as this is my first tank (72g bowfront, LEDs, 30g sump) but about a week after filling her up I got the Nano cuc from MCF just so they would eat the growth a little bit. It seems to be cycling just fine.

But please, take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm new, even though I have an awesome friend that's been helping every step of the way! (RedDevil.258)
