I'm looking for a reputable place/person that makes custom made tanks.

Any recommendations?

Thanks! :)

+1 for Anthony at nano sea creations.

I recently took delivery of a custom 420 gallon built by Anthony, and the tank is beautiful. Craftsmanship is flawless! I have had other tanks built by the "big name companies" and Anthony's work is hands down the best!

Oh, almost forgot....the tank was delivered ON TIME!

Not sure what you are looking to have built but I would strongly recommend you contact him. Don't hesitate to pm me and I will give you my # and would be happy to speak with you.

Thx SkullV for the other recommendation. :)

So far Anthony has been really good with correspondence.... Now if only I can decided on a final size :questionmark:

I think you should figure out where your gonna put it and then get the biggest one that will fit.

I could go huge with where we will put it... But then I may need to find another place to live along with my tank... And probably a new husband too lol.

He wants to go taller but I love the shallow option.... Decisions, decisions.

Does 72x18.5x16 sound good?

I like the dimensions but go deeper... like 24"

Mine is 24" and it gives so much more depth... and now with LEDs or with 250w MH you'll have no problems penetrating light that deep.

There are positives and negatives to both....

I really love the look of shallow. But like the added versatility of going taller... although I may need a diving suit then. ;)

If I go with the shallow, I'm hoping I can get away(I know this may sound crazy) with only 2 AI Sol's over the tank hung high and at 2 feet and 4 feet of length. Like 12" or a little more over water line and crank it up high. I currently already have one hung 7" over my 29 biocube and have it running at 30% max. Any higher and LPS are crying. I know the L/R edges of tank will be pretty shaded so I'd save those areas for more soft and NPS corals. Follow me?

I realize I will most likely have to drop another $400 for another light(I better plant the money tree seed come spring!), but wanted to experiment with 2 first.

Thoughts?

You won't be able to light up a 72" tank with 2 sols. unless you want some serious spot light action going on. I would say you could do 1 every 2 feet - so that is 3 of them. If you were to do SPS, I would throw 1-2 more in there for full high output coverage.

Yeah, I realize I will need to add a 3rd eventually. I'm just wishfully thinking :)
