For substrate was gonna make it black sand but at last minute did a mix of 50 pounds black and 15 pound white aragonite but seems like the white one took over the black one.Did a mess in the plumbing with the primmer but well was my first pvc plumbing proyect. The sump I did is a 40B with 1/4 glass baffles and a black glass for the fuge.

You can run GAC at any time, as long as you buy good media and rinse it well there aren't many negatives. GFO, I'd only run it if you need to. If you can keep po4 down without using it, why add the extra hassle?

Very nice setup looking good. The corals will be very happy in there new home. That's why I waited so long to sell them ,I had them for years and wanted them to go to a good home.
