Derasa Clam Help ?

I have two Derasa clams. Both seemed to be doing well untill this morning. I have noticed on one of them that the shell opens, but the mantle does not fully extend. He also looks like one of his holes is gaping. I noticed one of my large Turbo Snails on him last night. The snail was on the clams shell, not the mantle. Didnt apper to be harming the clam in any way. Could the turbo have stressed out the clam? Not sure what to do here. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Id give that guy a dip i did mine in fresh water could be pinched mantle is the mantle in the shell like shrunk up there are many different signs also flip that guy over and look for those little snails

Yes. The mantle looks shrunk inside the shell. I looked for snails and didnt see any. I will try again tonight. The other Derasa I have looks great. That's why I thought the snail might have been the culprit. How should I administer the dip? What do I need to know? Thanks lunacris

Ok so once again im no pro but i read up on it and did fresh ro with matching ph i did three minute dips or 3-5 min dips once a day i dont k ow what causes it to be honest mine were doing great and then boom i would google it and see what you wanna do ive also read somewhere to do it in tap water but i didnt trust that good luck my friend keep us posted

hypo dips are alot safer IMO. take some of yur tank water, then dilute it with ro/di until it is 1.009 sg. then float that bag in your tank until it matches temp, then put the clam in da bag. float for 5-10 min, repeat if necessary. the amount of time will vary from person to person. but i did multiple dips on my lil 1.5" clam at about 30mins. took a lil longer till it finally cleared up
