How many gallons do most of you get from a single canister of di resin? I have a brs 6 stage RO system, 150 GPD water saver, with booster pump and 500 mL/min auto flush. Tank is 46 gallon, and evaporates 4 gal per day which is replaced by ato. 15 gal water change every two weeks. So, I go through 86 gal per month. I get about 25 days out of a cartridge before it turns yellow. TDS is 3 out of my membrane, but will creep to 150 before a flush.

I also have a pressure tank feeding my icemaker that is split off before the di phase.

4 gallons a day evaporation is alot. I have a 90g open top with leds and my evap is 5 gallons a week. I go through di refill one a year with the city feed if 150tds. What is your di out TDS? I wouldnt go by color but by DI TDS.

TDs out of 2nd chamber is 0, out of 1st is 1 or 2 when resin is full yellow. 0 if some blue is left. The tank is a zero edge, so tons of surface area for evaporation.

Ive been only getting a few months out of mine lately. Idk if it is old stock or what its the brs high grade stuff i use to get at least a yr out of it before i moved.
 
O get about 4-6 months out of my first stage di and I make a lot of water go threw about 15g of rodi water a week and when I do water changes on my tanks its a additional 30g on top of that a week
 
If you’re going through 4g a day and 30g a month for water change you’re going through a minimum of 150g a month. I’d wait till your DI out is getting to 1 before swapping.

I had to shut my DIY zero edge down because of the evap. I was getting mold on my window sills. How old is your membrane? you may need to change it.
