I have a 75 gallon reef ...mostly lps and softies.... All doing very well. I had two clowns a rock beauty and a cardinal fish. Last week I noticed one clown is gone. Not a trace ........then yesterday my cardinal fish is awol . No carcass or bones that I can see?? Its a reef ready so they cant make the sump. All I have is snails and small blue legged hermits. I know i have some bristle worms as well.... is there anyway they are dying in the tank and being completely comsumed?????

its 75 gallons .....its been set up as fish only for two years and a reef for 9 months. my water test fine and my other fish and coral are all doing well. The fish that dissapeared never showed signs of weakness or lack of appetitie. I just cant believe how fast they are gone?

Sometimes they just like to play hide and seek. I had a couple clown fish once hide in my overflow as well. I actually had a wrasse end up in my sump as well.

I checked the reefready overflow but they extend a good half inch above the water level. These two fish have beenin the tank for years. At the entrance to the sump I have the PVC going into a fine micron bag and there is no sign of the missing fish. I am used to fish only where the remains last for days :faint2:
