Divers den question

I'm about to recieve an expensive and very sensitive fish from DD. Does anyone know about their quarantine procedure? Do they treat for ich and other parasites?
Can I quarantine in my frag tank just to help recover from shipping or should I do hypo salinity just to be safe?

If it's from diver's den they do put most of their fish thru a quarantine procedure and make sure they eat before they sell it to you. That is why you pay a premium price. I don't think this has changed.

Yep, the QT and treat. They don't release until it's healthy and eating. If it's an expensive and sensitive one they probably hold it for a few months before puttin git up for sale.

What fish did you get?

I would only buy them from divers den as its hard to find one that will adapt to aquarium life. If its from a LFS, I would have to have them hold it for me for at least a week or two.

Awesome purchase Niño. I wonder what is the survival rate of their livestock once acclimated to home systems? You definitely pay the premium price for some of those beauties, they sure put a lot of time and care into QT.

You actually don't pay that much more. They usually sell them bigger than 4" in divers den for $226. When you buy them from live aquaria, you pay $210 for a small juvenile achilles. So from Divers Den you get an adult size and it's already quarantined. I would call that a great deal!
