DIY Basement sumP /water mixing station

Working on building an All in one water mixing/changing station connected to my basement sump.

I have a 65g container for ro water and a 35g container for sw. They will be plumbed togehter with an external pump. I attached a diagram

Question i have is if i want to put a drain directly from my DT would it go on the Return side or on the drain side of the sump? I'd like to be able to open a valve and dump directly into my drain in the basement and then open a valve on the mixed sw and re-fill it. Anyone done it like this?

Well the way that this system is going to be set up is everything runs off of one pump and can fill and empty anything at any time. I can transfer RO water directly into the SW container just by switching the valves and same with the sump.
 
The only other thing i'm going to add a valve/t for is so i can fill my RO resivour. But again i might just have it hard plumbed to my ATO so i dont have to fill things manually lol
 
Fine I'll copy that exactly too (but I'm putting a manifold on the bottom part just so I can use the word a few more times.) Manifold
 
Finally coming together. I built it in my garage and filled both containers. Let it sit overnight to make sure i have no leaks.

Also have powerheads and vinegar in both of them to make sure they are clean and safe! Now i just gotta pick up my pump. Looking for an external if anyone has one

Actually i waited till i found some from reefers lol. I picked up the 65g from Moe (i think) and the 35g from chicago phil. Got a awesome deal on both of them.

Ill have to keep an eye out, tired of making mine in 5G for RO/DI, need something bigger
 
Yeah my 5g ato only last like 2.5 days and it drives me nuts having to make 7gs at a time ever couple days. I also hate having to carry buckets and i always spill. This is going to be set up so i have no need for buckets lol. Everything will be on valves and my ato is gonig to be a 10g tank.

Plus the gf will be happy i'm no longer having buckets sitting around mixing sw and Top off lol
 
I'll get updated pictures soon. I actually went with 2-35g containers instead of 1-35 and 1-65 so i had to change some stuff. Still need to find an external pump too.
 
The white containers are sold at Farm and Fleet and are generally in stock and in their outside storage areas. I have three of them and they are really nice.
