i dont know if i should have posted this in the diy section but i was talking with smitty about the calcium problem i was having and he sugested i post about the rock. as generous as he was i figuerd it was the least i could do. it is one part portland cement, 2 parts oyster shell, 3 parts corse salt for a water softener from home depot. there are several videos on youtube about it. it has worked great for me and even adds calcium to my tank. if anyone is interested in trying it out i have a bunch of salt and shell left. you just have to get the portland cement and play sand to make your molds. i wouldn't turn down a frag if you want to bring one when you come get it, as my tank is pritty empty, but is not required. here are some pics of how it tured out. make sure to soke the rock for a few months to leach out any chemicals and allow the salt to disolve.
