I just ordered my camera for $7.99 on amazon. Gonna give this a go.

That is a neat idea. Thanks for sharing, I may pick one of these up next time I am by a harbor freight and give it a try.

That's not my video (and that surely isn't my lady wearing almost nothing laying on the couch half way through the video, lol). I'm going to give this a try in about a week and a half.

Sorry, didn't mean that it was your work. There was time put into both the DIY and video. LOL, you got me to watch the video again

Are you going with the same fake camera to control oscillation?

Yeah, I bought the exact same fake camera.

My biggest worry is this thing falling into the tank. I will spend a lot of time making sure it is securely mounted. I might even screw it into my canopy so there is no chance of it falling.

The real sea sweeps are $275 and I hope to pull this off for less than $20. Looks fairly simple.

Even if it falls all of the way in it is DC low current at the most you will lose what you spent in the DIY portion.

If you are really worried, try to water proof it with silicone.

Looks like a fun project now to make one nano size so I can get rid of my two power heads :)~

Maybe some RC car servos and a small power head...

Wanted to say that I just made the DIY sea sweep. Wasn't that hard just took a long time to figure everything out. All I have to do is spray paint and make the acrylic mount.
